Career Coaching – a fresh perspective

Definitions describing the art of professional coaching vary, as do the definitions of a consultant, a physician, or any other service oriented practice - based on one's perspective, experience, and the overall purpose for delivering and receiving business and career coaching services.

Some people think of career coaching in very narrow ways, experiencing it as more psychological, like therapy, where you deal with past issues to have a more balanced and productive future.

While others see a business coach as engaging a process for changing who you are and where you are headed in a relationship, in business, in your life, which is not really coaching, rather, it's consulting.

Types of Coaches – key areas of challenge, need for change:

My Consulting and Coaching Background:

My various consulting and coaching careers over the years have involved helping clients with what many would observe as therapy - helping clients address esteem and sense of purpose issues, and consulting - helping clients get on a winning track - in life, in business, in all their important relationships.

Since 2002, I've been consulting and coaching each day trader, helping him or her develop a lucrative day trading career and very profitable business - day trade, day trading, intraday trading.

First, you cannot have effective day trading coaching without a powerful dose of consulting - to get you on the right track, what I refer to as a winner's track, the precursor for any coaching, otherwise known as strategy development.

Wondering about aimlessly, without this solid sense of direction, with or without a great coach, gets you nowhere, fast.

Day trader coaching, without day trading consulting, then, is like a boat without water – nice for an interesting conversation over a cup of tea, not so nice for getting what you really want and need in your day trading life, your winning port of call —big money winning.

Second, in my experience, all the important aspects of life, your or my life, particularly the day trading career choices we make, and all the daytrading career related relationships we develop, can be observed effectively, powerfully, absent blame or argument, as - the games we play.

You will hear me describe who we are and what we do in relationships and business using common game theory a lot to bring about change and success with trader clients, in the context of - the games we play.

Note:

• All games have the following: a purpose or point, otherwise known as a strategy for play, rules for engagement or play, tactics for winning and avoiding losing, and, of course, the game results - winning and losing.

• Life, and each important aspect of our life (viewed as the game we play), can be simplified through game think, to address the ongoing challenges and remove road blocks to satisfaction and success.

• As well, this game perspective allows a common, neutral ground for the conversations necessary for daytrader development and growth.
